The Relaunch of Cloudform

Today marks an important chapter in the relaunching of Cloudform with a sharper focus on building ambitious gaming experiences. This relaunch comes with new changes to the company we knew and loved with the discontinuation of Cloud Tech and plenty of rebrandings.

CEO Marcantonio Povolo and President Colin Lepoutre stated, “We enjoyed our experiences trying to build Cloud Tech on calls on Discord, but it currently is not in the best interest of the company to work on this division.” They shared that they will not rule out technology releases in the future, but for now that chapter has closed.

Rebrandings across the portfolio

In today’s announcements, the team is happy to share our rebrandings across our portfolio and our new division of the company with all new names. To start, Ciryx (formerly Cloud Gaming) got a new coat of paint with its new name taking the root word from the cirrus cloud formation. Under Ciryx, our development teams were also refashioned: Roblox Monkey Devs became Stratus Studios, and Innovate Studios became Nimbus Studios — both names coming from root words of cloud formations.

New slate of games

Ciryx is also pleased to share our new slate of games coming to Roblox in the near future. Stratus Studios will be developing The Lost Jungle, Jungle Racers, and Jungle Hunters. Nimbus Studios will be working on a new edition of Innovation City, with a rebranded name coming soon. The Ciryx team is excited for this new chapter and cannot wait to show you what they have in store.

From Tech to Software

Our last announcement is our changed direction from Tech to Software. This change came with a new name: the division will be known as Altyx. This division will be backed by modern software and platform scaling for our company’s Roblox experiences. This new division will be starting work later next year.

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of Cloudform with a renewed strategic focus on premium gaming experiences and the software systems required to scale them.
